Universal Core Values . . .
Since the inception of the United Nations the contrubution of non-governmental
organizations (NGOs) and the Civil Society has been seen as an essential ingredient
to fulfilling the aims and objectives set out in the Charter.
NGOs provide a channel through which information concerning the UN reaches the public,
and the peoples' voice (their concerns, issues and aspiriations) is brought back and
given expression at the international forum of the UN. The Brahma Kumaris as an international NGO,
initiates and facilitates many international outreach projects and programs.
