With these words Charles Dickens summarized the panorama of life of ordinary people amidst the revolutionary waves of change that were sweeping through Paris and London two hundred years ago. His description in A Tale of Two Cities can also serve as an accurate portrayal of scenes presently being played out on the world stage today.
