A Program Celebrating The Girl Child.

This program is designed so that young women internationally can participate in creating an ethos of harmony, love, stability, and understanding.

Overview: The purpose of the program, "Young Women of Wisdom," is to celebrate the girl child. It is designed by young women, for young women. It aims to create a safe learning enviroment where they can combine fun, creativity, silent reflection, and in-depth dialogue. The highly participatory and process-oriented workshops invite young women:

• to explore their own self-worth
• to identify their potential and draw out their sense of dignity
• to address the issues they feel impact their lives
• to create solutions by first delving into the true meaning and expression of self-respect.

Methodology: Interactive opening and closing plenary sessions which may include prominent women in the community who are particularly involved with the issues of and value the contributions of young women. Creative workshops, silent introspection, visualization, and evaluation.
